6. Tomorrow Another Leaf You’ll Turn Over...

Brief encounters can often leave the most indelible memories. Stolen moments are far fewer in actuality than elegant prose or flowery poetry. A kiss with a stranger isn't unknown to either party - often at a party - or a pub, bar, club.

But there's definitely something special about this one. The moment it's over Beth dashes off. Col stands - frozen to the spot again, cheeks flushed and feeling light.

He reaches down to pick up the vinyl that the little creature apparently dropped during her seduction of him and never stopped to retrieve upon her exit. Well it's a win, win then isn't it he smiles to himself. So what if he didn't get a number or even a name, he's got this piece of unexpected treasure so tucking the record under his arm and putting his hands in his pockets, he prepares to embark on a victory strut...

5: OK It's happened now!

Ever the impulsive one, Beth decides if her 'stalker' isn't going to make a move then she'll have to. Having led him from Gray Walk through Brick Lane and back down to Spitalfields Arts market, she makes an unexpected detour. Just far enough ahead to help him  pick up his pace but close enough for him to keep her in sight.

They say the chase is better than the catch, but what if the hunted wants to be caught? What larks!

4: Such a long way to come...

Confidence isn't something in short supply for Col. He never  goes very long without a girlfriend. Blessed with that 'quirky' charisma he has a large and popular set of friends to ensured invites to social events 7 days a week.

But his girlfriends usually came to him. Often introduced to him by friends at parties, or through work. A recent graduate he still goes to uni functions and had no trouble while he was a student. But he was never much of guy for meeting girls 'on road' as his black friends would call it.

3: The Bills Take You Low...

Talking Heads - the only band anyone one would ever want to be in. All that came before were simply seeds that allowed their flower to spring; all that came after either poor imitations or deviations. Progenitors should be proud and descendants grateful.

So as much as this find of their magnum opus in Spitalfields Arts Market  is something celestial to her - it won't help pay the rent.

2: Buzzing Now - Meet Col

Colin - Col to his friends, is English and from the Camberwell, South-East London via... Surrey to be precise. Col is the type of English that means he has to key to the city - any city. He's not an archetype, he's the archetype - tall and lanky, speaks with a plum in his mouth as big as his Adam's apple. He may open doors for ladies but only because every door is already open for him. Col is proud of his pedigree but not so you'd know it. Painfully left-wing his abhorrence of everything his parents have tried to instil however stops at it's financial and social benefits.

1: Take A Look At The Sun - Meet Beth

Beth isn't one of the crowd. Beth and her friends haven't heard of most of the things you're into, her friends on Facebook are her real friends and she doesn't do games.

Beth loves arts and and crafts, beautifully maintained old vinyl, thrift shopping. You'll find her in East London - Hackney, Brick Lane, Dalston and only Shoreditch when she's really pressed.
